The First of the Mystery Series

One of the genres of really gotten into is mystery, and crime drama, mostly fiction. There some good one’s already out, and some new ones coming soon. One of my personal favorites are the classic whodunnits, like from the 1920’s, to the 1940’s. Some examples of great ones are Murdoch Mysteries, and Frankie Drake Mysteries.
There are different types of mysteries that one can get into. There are the storylines, where each episode is part of the mystery, or where there’s a bigger mystery in the background. Then, there are the different mysteries in each episode, or upfront. Both kinds of plots can be interesting.
Soap operas, like General Hospital, have storylines, that span several episodes, and these can suck you in, especially if there’s a mystery involved.
There's this series on Netflix, it has a vintage, mystery feel, described by sources as an “Agatha Christie whodunit”. While watching the trailer, it sort of reminded me of the Orient Express, and Clue. I discovered that it's set in the 1940's, after WWII, when two sisters are leaving Spain, by sailing on an ocean liner, owned by the older sister's fiancé. As their heading to the ship, they appear to hit a woman, who is running from something, so they sneak her on board the ship. While traveling to their supposed new life, there’s a whole cast of interesting, and compelling characters. Quite a few of them turn into suspects when it seems a woman is tossed overboard.
Netflix has this show in both Spanish, and English dubbed, which is how I got to watch the first time. Now I'm totally hooked, and I so hope to see season 2.
